September 11, 2001
September 11 was an extremely emotionally charged and life-changing time to be in lower Manhattan. Two of the media groups I was working for at the time were Bloomberg News and the Media Photo Group, which handled photography for the World Trade Center, New York Stock Exchange, and Port Authority. With all my equipment on me the morning of the attacks, I documented pedestrian responses, emergency rescue efforts, rabbi anointing ceremonies for the soldiers, media conferences, ashes on the ground, and the national guard's protection of ground zero. The following images are a personal selection of moments and expressions from the hundreds of images I took.
